2024-2025 Highlights
In this 30th year of operation, 37 students participated in the program, more than ever before! Twenty-six completed the year.
5 students became
PADI
Open-Water certified divers.
5 students became Water Safety Instructors.
Students learned to geo-track.
On Earth Day 2024, TAP was represented in the Nashville Outdoor Recreation Festival.
Students held a swim-a-thon that raised more than $15,000 for the program.
Students learned in the
Collective Approach to Restoring Our Ecosystems (CARES)
Program.
Students practiced TAP elevator speeches about the program.
Students took two creative writing classes and some are being featured in a book to be published about Black people and water.
Students volunteered for Swim Across America swim-a-thon to raise money for cancer research.
Students had two sessions about financial literacy.
TAP went skiing in Ohio at the invitation of
See You at the Top (SYATT)
at Peak and Peek Resort in NY.
TAP completed one phase of Wilderness Survival.
